Marami pa rin sa ating mga taga-Bulakan ang tumatawag sa Bulacan Water District (BWD) bilang NAWASA. Pero alam nyo ba na ang NAWASA ay acronym lamang ng “National Waterworks and Sewerage Authority”. Ang NAWASA ay nalikha sa pamamagitan ng Republic Act (RA) 1383 noong taong 1955 sa kapanahunan ni Pangulong Ramon Magsaysay para maging tagapamahala ng suplay ng tubig at alcantarilla sa buong bansa.
